Storytime programs have a long tradition at Lilly Library. In addition to introducing children to books and the joy of reading, this is often your child’s first chance to be part of a group on his or her own.

Dear Parents:

Storytimes are also great practice for school. I try to help the kids learn there are times they need to be quiet and listen and times they can talk with each other and myself. Mostly, I try to teach them that reading is fun and never be afraid to ask questions!

Depending on which storytime you sign-up for, we read stories and books, sing songs, do finger plays, play games, write and perform skits, and do crafts.

I hope that you will introduce your child to one of our programs!

I hope to see you soon!
