How do I get a library card?
Your library card comes free of charge. Adults must have a picture ID and proof of address. Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the registration form. Replacement cards are free.
How long can I keep my books?
DVDs, magazines, and the Lucky Day collection circulate for 7 days. New adult books circulate for 14 days. All other materials circulate for 21 days.
What about renewing items?
Items renew automatically one time. If you need more time with an item that Lilly owns, you may call the library to inquire whether it is renewable for one final time.
What are your overdue fines?
Museum Passes: $5.00 per day; $25.00 maximum per item
Patrons have their borrowing privileges suspended when their accumulated fines (from all libraries in the system) exceed $10.00, if they have billed items from any library in the system or if they have more than 50 items in total from all libraries. You can pay fines at the Library or online by going to your CWMARS account.
What if I lose my book?
If a patron loses an item, a replacement fee is charged. (Replacement copies are also accepted). For Lilly items, the replacement fee will be the recorded price of the item; if no price is recorded the default fee will be charged.
Do you accept book donations?
We are not currently accepting donations of any material for adults. The Children’s and Young Adult Librarians do accept small donations of children’s and teen materials. Books that are not usable by the Library will be sold / discarded. Most donated material is sold in our In-House Book Sale Corner.
How can I make a contribution to the library?
We welcome your contributions, which are tax-deductible and can be made in the form of cash, checks, online donations, bequests, or securities. Checks may be made out to Lilly Library and sent to the Director.

Can I Volunteer?
Volunteers help the library in a variety of ways. We always are happy to receive your application to volunteer; applications are available at the Reference Desk. As our volunteers are very faithful, openings for volunteers may not come around that often. However, we keep all applications on file for one year, and do contact those with the skills we need as those openings arise. If the library does not have an opening, we suggest that you also check with the Friends of Lilly Library.
