Welcome to Lilly Library. For over one hundred years, our independent public library has been a distinctive Florence landmark and community resource.  In 2005/2006,  we completed a $2,500,000 renovation and expansion project, and we proudly re-opened our doors in September 2006.  Click here to see pictures of our Grand Re-opening Celebration.

Afghan Raffle
Lilly Library is holding an afghan raffle to raise funds for the library.  The knitted patchwork afghan was created by The Lilly Library Knitting Group which meets at 6:30pm on Monday evenings.

Tickets are one for $2 or three for $5.  Tickets are available at the library.  Drawing is August 30th in time for the cooler weather.

Help us choose our next community read book!
The On the Same Page committee is planning the 2009
Northampton community reading event and has invited the community to vote on one of four books selected by the committee as finalists. The choices are Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver, Last Town on Earth by Thomas Mullen, Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien, or Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson.

You can vote online at http://www.forbeslibrary.org/events/OnTheSamePage.shtml or fill out a paper ballot at the Forbes Library during the next few weeks.
